The Zambia Research and Development Centre (ZRDC) is an institution with an overall goal of contributing to national development through capacity building and community Development. It was established in 2007 by a group of professionals and Lecturers from the University of Zambia with extensive experience in research and consultancy. It is registered with the Ministry of Home affairs under the Registrar of Societies. ZRDC aims to pursue cutting-edge research with a view of contributing to Zambia's social and economic development.

 

The Information and Communications University (ICU) is registered with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), under the Ministry of Higher Education to offer distance (e-Learning), and full-time education in Zambia. It is also working in collaboration with National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute”, Moscow, Russia in the field of scientific research, teaching innovation, teaching staff members exchange, student exchange, and joint education programs.

 

Genius Education Zambia is an EdTech and STEM organization whose mission is to promote, facilitate, and enhance quality education. Genius Education Zambia works to bridge the gaps among high school students, young professionals, the workforce, and the constantly evolving global environment. The vast majority of young people in Zambia have no access to quality education or academic mentorship in STEM fields. Our service at Genius Education Zambia is to promote STEM education in a holistic manner by working with stakeholders at all levels, including government, embassies, educators, researchers, corporate organizations, universities, schools, and industry. We place great importance on collaborative efforts as well as intergenerational synergy.

 

The Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) is a semi-autonomous executive agency of the Zambian Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. Its principal functions are to operate a legal system for registration and protection of commercial and industrial property and to serve as a legal depository of the information tendered for registration.

 

The Engineering Institution of Zambia was re-established under the EIZ Act No. 17 of 2010 for the purpose of promoting and regulating the engineering profession. Under regulation it provides for the registration of engineering organizations and regulates their professional conduct.

 

The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) has the mandate to develop, manage, and operate the Zambia Qualifications Framework (ZQF). It carries out verification and evaluation of Zambian and foreign qualifications to their equivalent on the Zambia Qualifications Framework.

 

The National Technology Business Centre fosters growth through innovations and technology. It provides the following services: advise on intellectual property protection and utilization; Business development services; Commercialization of Innovative local products etc.
